In 2008, Lee gave the commencement address at the UCSB Donald Bren School of Environmental Science & Management graduation ceremony. In this speech, he covers the Stein family’s second major medical challenge: an inoperable brain aneurism that left him with an 85% chance of morbid outcome at any time. This experience further reinforced the importance of time, and that “as the CEO of our lives” it is our job to control our thoughts and turn them into value.
